JJ made a great catch saving at least one run.

Then our big boys provided the power. Aramis Ramirez and Derrek Lee hit homeruns giving the Cubs the offense they needed to lead the Cubs to an important 4-3 win. Once again the bullpen was very good in relief of a decent Marquis start.

Back to Jacques Jones. It was Sweet Lou who sat JJ for almost two weeks prior to the All-Star Break, then met with him to tell him to forget about the 1st half and play the way he is capable of. He told him he was going to get another chance to play everyday and he had a lot of confidence that JJ would come through. As we now know, he did come through in a huge way.
