Ted Lilly provided a much needed great start and Aramis Ramirez added the power with a 2 run homer as the Cubs beat the Dodgers 8-2. The Cubs added on with 4 runs in the 8th for some breathing room and the 'pen continued to shine with the trifecta of Marmol, Howry, and Dempster complimenting Lilly's important start perfectly.

I see Dempster blew this one.... Now I know his numbers are not bad but that was early in the year when there is not as much pressure. I do not think he has the demeanor to be a closer. Hitters do not think, "Oh No Its Dempster. He is a setup guy at best with moderate stuff. We need a CLOSER not a closer. Ask yourself one question... Its the bottom of the ninth, two on- two out and Pujols is batting. Do you really want Dempster to be the GO-TO guy. Do they really trust him that much. I do not.

I understand your feelings, but this is his 1st blown save since June 11. And only his 3rd all year. But yesterday was very painful...
